Imagine

This will be a short and sweet blog. Two out of three of my daughters are now away at college. Five minutes ago I was tossing them in the air and giving them basket rides. I know it is a cliché, but the years flew by and now I have only one in the nest. She is scheduled to fly away in three short years. Wow!

One of the wonderful things I can think of is that we enjoyed every day of their growth. Oh believe me, they weren’t all winners, we had our challenges; but, that is what life is, winners and losers. You enjoy the good and forget about the rest.

That brings me to the point of my blog. Right now I am in a season of having both good and bad times. Sometimes the good times last for a week, day, or an hour. With ALS, every day is in flux. The only way to survive such turbulent times is by enjoying the good and forgetting the rest. Understand the bad times can be daunting but it will pass. It helps to remember that and picture the good times that will come.

You have to imagine and dream about good things. Speaking of which I’m going to leave you with part of my Christmas gift from Ashley. She did a song for me and it is all about imagination, I’m sure you will recognize it and put a smile on your face. You may need to turn up the volume. Enjoy!

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

The video is Akhil's journey with ALS.  Painful to see but the faith his family shows is uplifting.

God continues to show his love for us through his people.  Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us, prayed for us, visited Akhil, brought us a meal and served us however God led you to serve.  Continue to follow those urgings from God in serving those who are struggling.
