Fear

“Don't let your fear stop you.  Fear is not there to scare you.  It is there to point out what matters.”
– Joyce Bell

Think about that quote for a moment.  Even if you don’t have anything significant challenging you as I do, this quote simply says, “If you’re afraid of losing something.  Maybe you are afraid because you realized what is important!”

I recently had a moment of panic when my legs wouldn’t move and fear filled my mind.  With stretching and lots of fluids, my legs started to move.  I had a choice:  Fear the future OR embrace the present.  I chose the latter with a greater appreciation of my legs.

Worrying about losing mobility or anything is a waste of time.  Worry robs you of the present and damages your future.

I was reminded again of the words of a great teacher:

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34

I loved your story, your song your love for the Lord and the way you view this existence. We are immortal beings in mortal bodies for a little while. I can tell you and your family are surrounded by His love. Thanks for the courage to share your story. We found a quote by William Allen White in my Grandfather's wallet after he passed and it said, "I do not fear tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today." God Bless you... You are in my prayers...Love Jessica Kelly

The video is Akhil's journey with ALS.  Painful to see but the faith his family shows is uplifting.

God continues to show his love for us through his people.  Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us, prayed for us, visited Akhil, brought us a meal and served us however God led you to serve.  Continue to follow those urgings from God in serving those who are struggling.
